Do I have the right to choose my repair shop even if my insurance company is paying for the repair?
Yes! You have the right to have your car repaired at any shop you choose. Your insurance company is required by law to pay the reasonable cost to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition according to the coverage’s you purchased. Your insurance policy will specify what coverage’s you have. Kollision King has adopted repair procedures which will result in the best repair possible, both structurally and cosmetically. For example: removing moldings before painting, rust proofing new and welded panels, four-wheel alignments with any structural repairs, blending and clear coating for color match, etc — all of which are covered in most insurance policies. These procedures are not followed by all shops and may be discouraged by some insurance companies; however, it’s your car and your decision. Kollision King has the latest in equipment, certified technicians, and the expertise to restore your car to pre-accident condition.

What if I need a rental, can you arrange for a rental car?
Yes! We are serviced by Enterprise and Hertz rental agencies. We can reserve a rental car to be ready for you when you drop off your car. Transportation to and from these agencies will be provided.

Is the repair of my vehicle guaranteed and for how long?
Yes, you will receive a written Limited Lifetime Warranty the day you pick up your vehicle. Kollision King has what we believe to be one of the best guarantees available anywhere, and it is backed by a company that has been in business for over 30 years.

Will the new paint match the old paint on my car?
Yes! We use only the finest acrylic urethane paint available. We use the Akzo Nobel – Sikkens polyurethane paint system. We take pride matching the color on your car through tinting and blending techniques to ensure a good paint match. This is an additional procedure in the repair to insure top quality work.

What if my insurance company is paying for the repairs?
Kollision King is performing these repairs for you, our customer. Any insurance coverage you have is between you and the insurance company and does not enter into Kollision King’s agreement to repair your car. We provide you and your insurance company with an itemized bill for the repairs. Full payment of your repair is expected when you receive, and are satisfied with, your car. Kollision King will accept direct payment from your insurance company if a commitment in writing is given to Kollision King from the insurance company prior to the release of the vehicle. Insurance drafts to lien holders must be endorsed by the same before we can accept them.

Can the shop waive or hide my deductible?
No. When you purchased your insurance policy, you signed a contract saying you will pay the first amount of the claim up to your deductible. Repairers should not be asked to hide the deductible. That practice would constitute fraud by both the shop and consumer.

What are collision, comprehensive and liability coverage?
Insurance policies are contracts designed to protect people in one of three ways-liability, collision, and comprehensive. Liability type of coverage pays for damages you may do to someone else or their property. It does not cover damage to your property. You may purchase optional forms of coverage, such as collision or comprehensive, to protect yourself and your property. Collision coverage will repair or replace your covered vehicle in the event it is damaged in an accident, even if the accident is your fault. Comprehensive coverage covers perils such as fire, theft, deer, and vandalism. Both collision and comprehensive coverage typically require the owner to pay the first portion of the claim, called the deductible.

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
You are not required to have an appointment, however we strongly encourage an appointment to expedite your visit. We also like to have the most appropriate estimator available to write your estimate, as every insurance company has different estimate requirements.

 Does the shop offer a guaranty on repairs and paint?

We provide a written lifetime guaranty on all repairs and paint, as long as you own the vehicle.

 Are the collision center’s technicians properly trained and certified to work on my vehicle?

All Kollision King technicians have completed and continue to undergo extensive I-CAR training and accreditation.

 Are the most accurate equipment and processes used to repair my vehicle?

We only use uni-body repair equipment, Akzo Nobel – Sikkens polyurethane paint system  and color matching technology, spray bake downdraft paint processes (the gold standards in our industry). Only the most accurate measures are taken to restore your vehicle to its original factory specifications.

 How many estimates must I obtain for my insurance company?

There is no law requiring you to obtain more than one estimate. You have the right to go to the collision center of your choice.

 Can the shop help me with my insurance claim?

Kollision King will help you negotiate your claim with the insurance company. We are also an approved collision center with major insurance companies and many local dealerships. Should the insurance mail you the payment check or you owe a deductible, those payments should be made at the time you pick up your vehicle.

 Does the collision center provide a rental or courtesy vehicle?

If you are the claimant, the other party’s insurance by law must provide you with a rental vehicle for the duration of repairs. Kollision King Repair Center also maintains a fleet of courtesy vehicles for those who are not covered under rental insurance. Some restrictions do apply.

 What is a deductible? When/who do I pay the deductible too?

You deductible is the portion of a covered loss that you are responsible for paying before the insurance company becomes responsible for payment under the policy. For example, if the covered claim is $2500 and your deductible applicable to that coverage is $500, you will pay the $500 and the responsible insurance company will pay the $2000. In most cases, you will pay the amount of your deductible directly to the repair center you have chosen upon completion of repairs to your vehicle.

 Why is my lien company holding listed on my check?

If you have a loan on your vehicle and choose cash settlement in lieu of repairs, your lien holder will be named as a co-payee on any payment over $100. We recommend you contact your lien holder for information regarding their legal interest. If repairs are completed at a later date, contact your agent who will verify the vehicle has been repaired and remove the unrepaired damage coverage restriction. If your payment check is to be mailed off to the lien holder for the company’s signature endorsement, we will gladly assist you with this process.

 What if additional damage is found during repairs, or my insurance company’s estimate is lower that the repair shop’s estimate?

Insurance companies and repair facilities both write estimates based on the damages they can see. If there are additional damages or part price increases, we will contact the claims supplement departments for approval. In many cases, the insurance companies require one of their field adjusters to inspect the additional damages and to approve further charges / payments. Once the adjuster comes to an agreement with the repair center, addtional damages payment will be issued directly to the repair facility. In most cases, the only amount of out of pocket expenses you will have for the repairs to your vehicle is your deductible.

Are you opened on Saturdays?

Yes we are, we are opened from 08:00 am to 12:00 pm.
